Nature Photography Meetup

Nature Photography Meetup

Saturday 22 June
Warrington Bank Quays train station. - 1pm - 2 Hours
Esther Adeola Seriki
Join this session for tips on how to use your camera settings to creatively capture nature in a visually interesting way. We will be looking at composition, focus, and colour.

Many professional offices and places of business have large prints gracing their wall space of things such as fields of flowers, a butterfly perched on a leaf, and a single dew drop on a rose petal. These beautiful images are all around us in nature. It just takes that special "eye" to not only see it but to capture it in a way that will turn that simple little piece of nature into a beautiful piece of art. We will learn how to use different angles, light and shadows, and settings to make subjects pop.

It was good to meet up with other warrington photographers and I really loved the sharing of experiences and social media. Esther was really great...put up with my lack of technical skills with patience. Good that it all happened in the town centre rather than Liverpool or Manchester. I look forward to more workshops in Warrington. G.S. .

I was so lucky that no-one else turned up, so had Esther all to myself. Great lady. Very knowledgeable and very patient. Explained things in ways to help me understand. Took time to work through my camera and help figure it out. Took time to look through my shots and make suggestions, but also praise where good decisions were made. Had a great time and feel much more confident to get out there and make more use of my camera.

I really enjoyed the nature class. It was a small group so we had a nice walk around the park looking for interesting things to capture. Robert was really friendly & informative & he taught us about camera settings & composition. It was a fun & relaxed way to learn & I would recommend it to anyone. I took my phone as I don't own a camera & I still got a lot out of the class & learnt how to use some of the pro/manual settings.

First of all, a huge thank you for choosing my picture. There are some great images being posted on here. It was a very miserable day to be honest lol, I went with the family for a walk a hopefully capture something nice in the area. I decided to go off on my own and found a walk route off the bridge that you can see in the image. Scrambled down some slippery rocks and set up beside the bridge. The original Roman bridge is still there too and in the background is not Llyn Idwal but a hill which

The photo was taken one early morning in January. I love going for walks in the morning especially when the sun is rising and loving take photographs of the skyline when the World is waking up. I added a filter to the picture as i wanted to bring out the blue skyline and also its contrast to the dark tree. It's my favourite picture I've taken this year and so happy I've been asked to put it foward. Thank you, ot proper made my day.

I had a few spare hours and wanted to practice flying my drone. As the light was terrible, I decided that it might be a good opportunity for some mono photography and figured that the Mersey Gateway Bridge would make a good subject. I like that this shot also has the old Runcorn-Widnes bridge in the background. f1.7, 1/640s, ISO100 on the dji mini 3 Pro.

Arches is considered a dark sanctuary meaning using light painting is not allowed. I went to do Astro Photography in June of 2021. This was taken approximately 2am when the Milky Way rose to the center of the arch. While it is a dark sanctuary, someone was hiking on the other side with a headlamp giving me just a touch of light painting to outline the arch. I held the wide angle lens open approximately 13-seconds, ISO 1600.
