It was good to meet up with other warrington photographers and I really loved the sharing of experiences and social media. Esther was really great...put up with my lack of technical skills with patience. Good that it all happened in the town centre rather than Liverpool or Manchester. I look forward to more workshops in Warrington. G.S. .

I was so lucky that no-one else turned up, so had Esther all to myself. Great lady. Very knowledgeable and very patient. Explained things in ways to help me understand. Took time to work through my camera and help figure it out. Took time to look through my shots and make suggestions, but also praise where good decisions were made. Had a great time and feel much more confident to get out there and make more use of my camera.

I really enjoyed the nature class. It was a small group so we had a nice walk around the park looking for interesting things to capture. Robert was really friendly & informative & he taught us about camera settings & composition. It was a fun & relaxed way to learn & I would recommend it to anyone. I took my phone as I don't own a camera & I still got a lot out of the class & learnt how to use some of the pro/manual settings.

Taken at ?The Hive? car park in Warrington town centre on a rare sunny afternoon. I?d just parked the car and noticed the long shadows and the light cutting across the floor. It stopped me straight away. What I liked was the contrast. It?s such an ordinary, functional place, but for a moment it felt almost beautiful. The patterned panels threw these strange shapes across the concrete and turned the whole space into something more abstract and dramatic.I edited it in black and white afterw

I visited Fountains Abbey and Studley Water Gardens which is situated near Ripon in North Yorkshire. It's a National Trust site and a beautiful place to walk and snap away. I went in late February and there was no shortage of snowdrops in the wooded banks beside the river. In this shot I decided to fill the frame with them and focused on a midpoint using my Canon 6Dii with my Canon zoom 28-300 lens. 1/160 5.6 ISO 320

I have struggled with agoraphobia for the last few years and find it difficult to leave my home. Recently I have been gifted a camera and have used it to help me push through and distract me from difficult moments while out and about. Photography has helped me so much, and usually this part of my walk would bring on those anxiety symptoms due to the distance from home, but I was instead able to stop and admire the surrounding nature.
